Mommy found another event for us to attend! It was a pop-up event and featured vendors and rescue groups. There were all kinds of games and competitions. Some I had never heard of before like the hoop race and the cheese race. They also had an obstacle course, waggy tail contest, hat contest, best puppy, best buddies, gentleman of the day, lady of the day, and fancy dress! Mommy didn't bring ALL of my clothes, but she did bring some of my really pretty dresses! So she said I should enter the fancy dress contest! We registered online and set out for our adventure! It was a long drive (an hour and 15 minutes) and we drove through some of the most beautiful countryside! We also saw really old restored cottages and farm after farm after farm! Mommy wanted to stop and take pictures, but she couldn't because we were on a curvy, one lane country road. On the way home, our GPS took us a different way, but we were able to pull over and take a few pictures.
Once we finally arrived, we found ourselves in the middle of a field in the country! We parked and entered the event. We walked around to some booths and for the first time in England, we found a few booths that had doggy clothes! Mommy and I picked out harness outfits for me and sissy and found sissy a cute T-shirt. After that, I was done. Mommy can just not expect me to walk around all day. I mean, I am a stroller girl! I sat down and gave Mommy my, "I don't think so" look. She sighed, picked me up, and put me in my carry bag. Oh the life of a diva!
There were some really cute food trucks! Mommy and I went to one for a snack. We sat down and enjoyed a muffin and drink when we saw it. A HUGE black cloud looming in the distance. Everybody started getting worried. The wind picked up, vendors scrambled to keep their tents (gazebos as they call them in England) from blowing away! People started running for cover. One lady jokingly yelled, "Retreat! Retreat!" as she ran with her doggy to the car! Mommy grabbed me up and we made it to the car right as the rain started. Some people left, but most just took cover. After about 10 minutes, the rain and wind passed and the sun came out! So we headed back to the event. Mommy got some hot chocolate (and would not share) and we watched the contests and waited for our turn in the fancy dress contest.
Pretty soon they called the contestants for the fancy dress contest. At home, in Florida, if you say "fancy dress" you mean your best formal attire! Mommy was worried my dress wouldn't be fancy enough, but we entered anyways. I wore my pink, silk, dress that Miss Muffin made from silk Mommy brought back from China and one of my super blingy pink necklaces. Mommy and I entered the ring and looked around. We saw one dog dressed up in a glittery outfit and top hat and thought, "Oh, he may be competition." Then other dogs entered dressed like cowboys, Batman and Robin, bank robbers, Starbucks puppuccino...Wait a minute. Those are COSTUMES not fancy dressed dogs! What's going on here? Apparently, in England, when you say "fancy dress" you mean costume! The dog wearing the glittery outfit and top hat was the ringmaster from the movie The Greatest Showman! We decided to stay and see what happened. The MC went around the ring and introduced each dog and their costume. When she got to me, she said, "And here we have a princess! Such a little lady!" And there you have it! She KNEW I was a princess. I didn't place first, but I did get a pretty ribbon and a whole jar of handmade cheesy dog treats. I'll take it! If Mommy had known better, she would have entered me into the Lady of the Day event and I KNOW I would have won 1st place, but it's ok. We had a good time. Check out my pictures below!

Stay tuned for more of my adventures!
