The PhDog data had been collected, the vacationing had been done, the pubs visited, and now it was time to go home. Mommy and Auntie Shannon pulled out the suitcases and packed the cottage up in record time! I was a little confused at first. Was Auntie Shannon leaving? Was Mommy leaving? Was I leaving? I got a little anxious and curled up on the couch to watch the madness. The next morning, they finished up and asked me if I wanted to go home and see my Grammy, Grampy, and Sissy. What!?!? Mommy popped me into my travel carrier and away we went! First we had to fight the traffic and find the rental car return, which was no easy feat! The traffic was heavy, there was construction, and the rental car return was hidden amongst it all! Once we finally turned in the car, we had to wait for the shuttle. Auntie Shannon's flight was soon and we were worried she wouldn't make it! Turns out, she made it by the skin of her teeth by running through the airport like a crazy woman! Mommy and I had a little more time and didn't have to run. We flew to Atlanta where I had to go through customs. Everyone "oohed and ahhed" at how pretty and well behaved I was. We checked in to our next flight and took some time to relax and have a snack and I did my potties. Then we boarded for the short jump from Atlanta to Tampa. I was soooooo excited when Grampy pulled up to pick us up at the airport! I couldn't wag my tail fast enough! When we got home, I jumped out of the car and princess pranced around the front yard checking everything out. As soon as I entered the house, the bark party began! My cousins (Grammy and Grampy's Doxies) Callie Mae and Tom Bentley along with my sissy Greta were barking and wagging and running around. They were all trying to give me kisses at once! I just trotted around wagging my tail! Sissy went nuts when she saw Mommy! She was so wiggly, shaky, and licky that Mommy couldn't even hold on to her until she calmed down! I didn't realize how much I had missed my family and how much they had missed me!

Here I am, in my pink carrier, guarding the luggage while we waited on the airport shuttle.

I slept for most of the flight from London to Atlanta.

In Atlanta, getting ready to go through customs!

Can I have a snack while we wait mom?

Sunbathing while we wait to board our flight from Atlanta to Tampa.

At home all snuggy in my bed. This is the bed Grammy got me in England! Mommy SQUISHED it into our luggage because she knew how much I loved it!

Stay tuned for more of my adventures!

Luvs and Lix,

Sophia
