Greta and I got jobs here at Murray State University. My job, as a PhDog, is to look pretty and receive lots and lots of attention! I guess when I let people “oooh and ahhhh” over me and they give me pets, it makes them feel happy! My sisser, Greta, has found her talent as a campus reporter. She has been sending regular reports to Grammy and Grampy. Her first university report was on Saturday night when we visited Hart College to watch the movie Hocus Pocus! Make sure to check out her live coverage video below!
In 1996, Murray State University became the first public university in the U.S. to install a residential college system based on the historic traditions of those at Oxford and Cambridge in England. Hart College is named after George S. Hart, a Murray civic leader and former member of the Murray State Board of Regents. As part of the residential college system, Hart is more than a dormitory or a place to live. It is a community of members–resident students, commuter students, faculty and staff participating in activities and programs and sharing a common feeling of college identity and pride. Each college has its own coat of arms and motto and each faculty member is assigned to a college. This helps build relationships between the faculty and students. When faculty members attend events at their assigned college, that college earns points. Points can be used as money to buy stuff, like a pizza party!

Stay tuned for more adventures!
Luvs and Lix,
Sophia Loren
