Well, it's about time! Mommy is FINALLY getting finished with this Ph.D. business. I mean, seriously, she's been holding me up! I've been finished with my sleep studies for quite some time. Mommy defends her dissertation on August 14th at USF, we will arrive in Kentucky on August 15th, and she goes to work on August 16th! At least sissy and I will be able to crash and enjoy our new digs. Mommy says we will love our new place. She's going to rent for a while until she knows exactly where we want to live in the area and what kind of house we want to live in. In the meantime, we are a stone's throw from several parks, the university's arboretum, the lakes, and the Land Between the Lakes!

Mommy is so excited! She says the building she will be working in, the College of Education, is beautiful! She found some pictures to show me. I think it's nice. Therapy dogs stop by once a month to de-stress the students. I would love to do that! Anyways, check out the pictures! Murray State University, here we come!

Entrance to the stadium.

The first permanent building at Murray State, built in 1924. It is now the Wrather West Kentucky Museum.

The Pogue Library built in 1931.

Murray State are the Racers, as in race horses! They have a real horse named Racer One that runs around the football field.

The mascot, Dunker, is at the basketball games and other events on campus.

This is the education building Mommy is so excited to work in!

The entrance to the education building.

Needless to say, Mommy is really excited to go to Murray State to be an assistant professor in education! Mommy says there are NO established doggy groups that she could find, but that's ok, we'll just have to start one! In the meantime, sissy and I are excited to explore all of the parks, lakes, boutiques, and doggy friendly restaurants.

Stay tuned for our moving adventures!

Luvs and Lix,

Sophia
