Tails on the Trails

I have to be honest. I'm used to being strolled around in my stroller! I'm not used to having to walk. I especially get a little bit insecure without my pack. Mommy has taken me on walks around our cottage, in the nature reserve behind the cottage, and even into our little village. Once I have checked it out, I'm done. There's no need to go back! I expect something fresh and new to explore if I have to walk. I think Mommy finally realizes this.

Today, Mommy took me to the manor house she and Grammy visited a couple of weeks ago, Hatfield House. They had an antique market that we walked around. Actually, I made Mommy carry me. There were lots of other dogs there. I met a full size Yorkie named Daisy! She was pretty nice. Mommy led me across the large lawns. I wasn't sure if I wanted to follow her, but she kept encouraging me so I gave it a try. Once we hit the trails I was all about it! It was nice and cool with a good breeze and there were soooo many smells! I decided I would lead the way. Mommy said there are 3 trail walks at Hatfield House. Today we started with the shortest one. It was only 1 mile, but after walking around the large lawns of the property, Mommy thought that would be all my little leggies could handle. I think she was right! After our walk, we sat on the lawn, drank some refreshing water, and enjoyed the scenic walk to the car. I am proud to say that I enjoyed my adventure and even met a few pups on the trails.

I'm deep in thought here. Debating if I had a better chance of catching a squirrel or a bunny?
