I’m here in Florida with Mommy, sissy, Grammy, and Grampy for Thanksgiving! It sure is nice and warm! I had some back trouble this month in Kentucky when it got really cold and snowed! Mommy had to take me to the dogtor to get checked out. Dr. Jackson from Warner Animal Clinic was really nice and gave me some anti-inflammatory medicine. It helped a lot, but even with tummy buffers, it made me sick. I got enough in my system to help though and Mommy is giving me daily massages, a heating pad, blankies, and I’m wearing sweaters to keep nice and warm. Now that we’re in Florida, I’m doing a lot better!

I'm ready for my massage Mommy!

My birthday was November 20th and I turned 13 years young! For an old lady, I’m doing pretty darn good! Mommy bought us cupcakes! Remember, we share the same birthday. She got us vanilla with cream cheese frosting! I really like my vanilla yogurt frosting, but Mommy didn’t have time to go all the way to Sprinkles in South Tampa to pick up my favorite pupcakes.

Nom. Nom. Nom.
Stop making me the center of attention Mommy! You're embarrassing me!

On Turkey Day the weather was beautiful and I did some sunbathing! Oh, how I have missed my warm weather and sunshine! Mommy thinks it’s too warm here in Florida and that it doesn’t feel like fall at all. She loves her Kentucky weather! We took a trip to Grammy and Grampy’s property. We all love visiting the property because we can run off-leash, but Mommy said that this time I had to ride in the stroller because of my back. I usually love riding in my stroller, but not when we visit the property! If that’s the only way I can go, then I guess I’ll have to follow the rules. I’m on my last week of “crate rest” for my back. Callie will ride with me in the stroller since she is now completely blind. Even though she is blind, she gets around the house just fine! She even goes out to the yard to potty! Tom Bentley helps her a lot. She is still a very happy dog and is always wagging her tail and giving kisses.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sissy and I are going to stay with Grammy and Grampy while Mommy goes back to Kentucky to close out her semester at Murray State University. She’ll be back in a little over a week, so that’s not too bad. When Mommy gets back, we are going to graduate from the University of South Florida! Mommy will be getting her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and I will be getting my Ph.Dog in Sleep Studies! Mommy has her regalia ready to go! I have my gown, but Mommy and Grammy are still working on my tam and hood. When Mommy comes back in December, we are going to take pictures in our regalia at USF. Everybody keeps asking if it finally feels like we have finished. Mommy says, “I’ll believe it when I get the diploma in the mail!”

Stay tuned for more adventures!

Sophia Loren
